1995 – Strong Community

1995 came to be a major milestone for the UICCA, when it systematically established itself as a recognised and official body. Experienced imams were also received more regularly, and they helped to build up the community with their vast knowledge.

As the congregation further expanded to Sydney a few years later, overwhelming demand and lack of space once again became a problem, and so in the year 1999, new lands were purchased in Auburn NSW and in Meadow Heights, Victoria.

More came in 2006, when - with the ardent support of our community - an astonishing madrasah was constructed in a 4,000 square-metre block to accommodate up to 30 boarding students which is currently also acting as UICCA HQ.

Furthermore, as services progressed, a group of 14 students were sent overseas to get their Islamic education. These students, who returned to Australia in 2008 as graduated imams, soon allowed the expansion of our community to include Brisbane and Perth.

Most recently, in 2019, the masjid and boarding school in Campbellfield was rebuilt. The new girls' boarding school now comprises three levels with a floor area of 3,000 square metres - and that is where we are today.

2023 – Good Step Childcare
2023 – Good Step Childcare

The UICCA is aiming to open its first childcare by mid-July 2023. A capacity of 100 students on a 400sqm double story building with a vision of giving children the best possible start in life through access to quality early learning.
