PUBLIC STATEMENT
Dear community members,
As you are aware, the world is facing an unprecedented global pandemic known as COVID-19. United Islamic Cultural Centre of Australia Inc. is following the events continuously and hopes to keep every one of the community safe.
Both Federal and state government has placed measures to ensure the safety of all Australians. We find we must follow these guidelines with extreme precision, and advise everyone the same.
Accordingly, based on these guidelines and rules, we have placed restrictions until further notice. Also, we advise everyone of the community to follow the following guidelines:
– Daily prayers are open for upto 150 people.
– Friday prayers will continue with a maximum of 150 indoor, masks are mandatory.
– Avoid non-essential gatherings.
– Regarding Nikah and Janazah follow the government advice regarding the limitation of the amount of people allowed to be present.
– Follow all health and safety advice and measures placed by the government.
As the United Islamic Cultural Centre of Australia Inc. we would like to stress the importance of following these steps. As the most crucial obligation is the obligation of maintaining our health, every one of us is responsible for our health and the health of others.
Please remain calm, and have compassion and empathy for others in these difficult times. Remember the health workers and hardworking community members who are striving to get us through this.
